Ok!! My big stupid project I’ve been working on!!

I have been making “Sendables” for JibJab, and they launched today. Sendables are like eCards only… they’re called “Sendables”. Some of them are actually short animated films with a theme (birthday, sorry, f-u duder). I’ve done 5 totally original short animations and 4 variations. There are 4 more originals in the hopper right now.

It seems they cost money to send, but you can view them free of charge. If you’re curious, I benefit if you pay for these in the form of a small percentage and the possibility of more work.

That thing I’ve been up to launches on Monday night. I’ll put up a link when it is up on JibJab. Since I’ve seen no word of it anywhere, I don’t know if I can publicly say what it is until they launch. I never signed a NDA, but it is just good manners. Sorry.

Adult Swim finally put out a Squids DVD. It took them awhile, but to their credit, this volume 1 DVD includes all of season 1 and 2. Not too bad. So go buy it! I’ve worked as a compositor on Squids now and then since the last chunk of season 2, and three of my drawings somehow made it into the background of the Christmas episode. Buy it so I can work on season 4. You should also go watch season 3 whenever the heck we finish it.

I didn’t get to be on the special features, but I was actually in the kitchen behind the camera during the Radical group shot. I know I can feel my presence off camera slightly to the left.

I got my tickets for Baltimore! I’m going home for a week in December, from the 11th to the 18th! First time I’ve been home in a year!

I’ll have a whole week to hang out with my family… sit around the house… not do anything since my old friends all left town or don’t speak to me anymore… It will actually be shockingly similar to high school, except I’ll probably be drinking the whole time.

Oh, it’ll also be my birthday. So there is that. Also family dinners, parties, and acting like an idiot with my brother. I do intend to visit some professors from my undergrad at the campus’ imaging resource center. I’d like to hit a show at the Ottobar, but a week before christmas isn’t really when all the awesome bands roll into town.
