A project I was hoping to work on has sort of died before it got going, and I have some preliminary stuff to show.

Tampons

Daydream (I have this one all the time)

Puberty was not kind

Goth kid fan service

Rough character design

rough storyboard page
It would have been cool to do this thing, but stuff happens. I wish those folks the best and maybe I’ll get the chance to work with them in the future on other projects.
Other projects are coming, hopefully. I’m working on some pitches, and I’ve found myself in the adult world of contracts and headaches and crying.

I ran the 5k race in Macon on Saturday.
We got there around 7:40 in the morning and picked up our numbers and goodie bag. I got another t-shirt I will never wear and some other stuff. There was some food out, but it’s pretty dumb to eat minutes before you run.
I’m not sure how many people there were in the race. I know the numbers went up into the 300s, but there were probably half that many people. We lined up at 8, I turned on my tunes, and we started the race.
In a nutshell: it sucked.
As it turned out, the course was much hillier than my normal route. I also made the mistake of pushing myself too hard in the first mile. I spent the entire second mile trying to run as slow as possible and the third mile trying not to stop and take a nap. I sprinted the last 100 yards, and it felt like my heart was going to explode. All that said, it was nice to “beat” other people. That said, there were elderly people and children who finished minutes before I did.
I didn’t place and didn’t really expect to. I just wanted to run one of these things. I’d probably do the one coming up in two weeks here if I could spare the money. Instead, I’ll just start training for a 10k in a few months.

I just emailed off the second draft of my long over-due thesis paper. Hopefully, this is not draft 2 of 40. Once the paper is finished, I need to figure out how to print one of those fancy DVD and jewel case labels. It is getting a little frightening how close I am to actually finishing. I’m going to have to replace my thesis with some other long term project I will take months to finish.
My 5k race is tomorrow morning. Very exciting! I’ve been getting ready by not running since Monday and eating way too much Easter candy. I still think I’ll be fine tomorrow. The race is mostly on flat land, while my regular running route is obnoxiously hilly.

Of all the reasons why Cho Seung-Hui would kill 30 some people at Virginia Tech, I had previously thought “video games” was the most inane.
FOXnews to the rescue!!!
Satan made him do it
This was just an example of a battle in the ageless cosmic war for souls. I, mistakenly, thought we were living in 2007.

As recently as two or three years ago, I was against the idea of dressing up pets in little outfits.
For reasons I can’t put my finger on, I have totally changed my tune. I am now 100% behind the practice of putting clothes on dogs and cats, and I feel this way for the exact same reason I used to be against it.
It is totally demeaning and humiliating to the animal. Hilariously demeaning!!

God, just let that image wash over you like a cool breeze. Dog booties!
Dear pet stores,

I just emailed my professors the finished first draft of my thesis paper.
I would have had it done last night, but the internet was down at Dunkin Donuts, where all the cool kids write papers and eat stale donuts.
My girlfriend is in Colorado, and I miss her. I hung out in Target for about an hour today “for fun”. Who’s awesome? This guy
