I think I forgot to post this:

I made this for Cacie for Valentines. More accurately I said she could have any of the stuffed creatures I had made, and she chose the one I was working on at the time. What was so great about the half-finished one?

I gave it a tiny butthole.

Clicking the pic will send you to the entry for this animation in my portfolio. The file is at the bottom of that page. This is my entry for this month’s 10 Second Club character animation thing. Enjoy.
If you missed it and care, I also have a recent throw test and bouncing ball character animation up.

When I heard yesterday that Hunter S. Thompson had killed himself, my first reaction was grief (well… the amount of grief I’d extend to a celebrity I don’t personally know) followed by a complete lack of surprise.
Good for him. Seriously.
Since drugs and booze could never kill him, I can’t think of a more apt death. So there… Transmetropolitan got the ending wrong.

I’ve yet to watch my copies of Closer, Hotel Rwanda, or Million Dollar Baby, but I’m going to go ahead and make a top ten list of my favorite movies of 2004 anyway. Hopefully those three movies will suck and not crap up my list.
1. Spider-man 2 (I am gay for Spider-man)
2. The Incredibles
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
4. Garden State
5. Shaun of the Dead
6. Kill Bill v2
7. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
8. Sideways
9. Supersize Me
10. Finding Neverland
Worth Mentioning: Team America: World Police, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism. I liked Team America, but I think the joke is probably only funny through the first sitting. I liked Fahrenheit but felt manipulated at the same time. Outfoxed is an excellent movie but something you have to be in the mood for. It’s also a bit of a “well, no shit” kind of documentary.
In older movies news, just got a copy of Meet the Feebles, and like probably anyone who’s seen this movie, I’m perplexed as to how Peter Jackson went from that to Lord of the Rings.

Cacie came to visit me for our late valentines stuff! Hurray! We exchanged gifts yesterday. I got one of those squishy brookstone pillows (a.k.a. booby pillow), and a new claddagh ring to replace my old claddagh puzzle ring I broke from over-use. I didn’t know rings could break from over-use, but one of the four bands of the puzzle shattered to pieces.
I got her some candy, a purple hippo bath poof like the one from our The Fridge movie, and some other stuff.
Other stuff includes: www.acaciasears.com
It is nothing but a splash page right now. I tried to learn how to do it all with CSS, and that just got to be a little too much to do by yesterday with school and my budding stuffed animal hobby.
As an aside, I actually turned a profit on the stuffed animals if you don’t count hours spent working on them. I only would have been doing homework or drugs anyway. Adam just put up a website for selling his stuffed things. The Adimals. I want to make a few more before I try to sell mine. That said, if there are any you are interested in now, let me know.
Last night we all went out for Adam’s birthday dinner to Outback Steakhouse. The cheese fries made me ill or something. That sucked. Winning poker last night made up for it. I can’t wait to go and blow it all on Cacie today. All $30. BIG MONEY TIM.

Finally, a beef flavored tomato drink!
After Adam discovered this at the Kroger last week, we found a few sites and blogs where people had seen this stuff before us. They commented on how awful an idea this was, but I noted very few people did anything more than that and post a picture of them holding the offending bottle at their grocery store.
We’re cooler than that, so we bought that shit. Then we drank some.
My findings: Beefamato tastes gross.
