Star Wars poster

October 30th, 2004 by lol

The newest Star Wars III fan poster is fucking awful.

Here it is on the official star wars website

See what I did there? You know, because my movie posters are so much better.

    Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

    October 30th, 2004 by lol

Against my better judgement, I bought the new GTA game. My brother has it back home, so now I’m trying to balance doing my homework with keeping ahead of him with the game. We have a history with games we both play. He usually starts playing a title before I get into it, so I’m notoriously a few hours behind him. Sometimes it’s mildly frustrating, like in FF7 when he told me something profoundly fucked up was going to happen. The whole “LOL Aeris ka-bob” thing was still pretty fucked up, but he’s flat-out ruined other game’s plots for me.

“Are you at the part where it turns out your girlfriend was a zombie the whole time? No? Oops, my bad.”

So I’ve spent a good deal of time with the game now, and I can honestly say this is the best hooker killing simulator I’ve ever had the pleasure of sitting down with. Probably the best simulated killing experience available on the market until Half Life 2 (a game centered entirely on killing security guards and scientists with an orange crowbar) comes out.

    Ashlee Simpson’s hilarious SNL appearance

    October 24th, 2004 by Tim

I just saw the funniest thing on SNL I’ve seen in recent months, and it wasn’t in a skit. At the start of Ashlee Simpson’s second song, the vocal track of her first song started playing. Oops! You just got caught lip syncing live on national television. What do you do? Well if you’re Ashlee Simpson, you walk off stage while your band quickly starts playing the first song. That’s not all though. At the end of the show you blame the flub ON YOUR BAND. They “started playing the wrong song”!!

    Fantastic.

And just so lazy bastards don’t skip it, check out our movie!

    The Fridge

    EDIT:

If you missed SNL, College Humor has a clip. I don’t know how long it’ll be on their front page, so here’s a direct link to the video. This is just the lip sync and walk off. I have a clip with the subsequent bullshit apology, but it’s DIVX so I can’t edit it down in Premiere to a point where it won’t wreck my bandwidth. If anyone is interested in getting it, IM me. It looks like Jude Law does a funny little take after Ashlee says the “my band fucked up” lie.

Yes… I am enjoying this too much. I just want to see this chick burn for shitting on her poor band.

I forgot to mention she does a little jig while trying to figure out what to do. Here’s that.

Adam and I made a movie!

    The Fridge

Last night my roommate Adam was filming stuff with his digital camera’s 320×240 video feature and editing it together when a story started to show up. H

    The Werewolf Solution

    October 23rd, 2004 by Tim

I found this awesome short film made for a 24 hour contest. For those not in the know, a 24 hour contest is where you have 24 hours from sign-up to the time you need to hand in the final flick. They make you use a prop given to you at the sign-up to make sure you don’t turn in something pre-made. This is how the rules work for the ones I’ve seen anyway.

    The Werewolf Solution

As far as my work goes, I’m slowly tooling away on a 3d animation group project. This weekend I’ve got to get started on a 10 page paper.

This week is the SCAD film festival. Unlike last year, I actually got off my ass and got some tickets. Unfortunately I procrastinated so long that I couldn’t get tickets to see any of the big movies or Ebert. Oh well. I am going to go see “The Lift”, a movie (or short?) starring the secret midget for Amelie. Maybe he’ll be here? Last year we had mystery guests like Ian Cummings.

    Pweznets

    October 17th, 2004 by Tim

I’m tired of waiting for people to log on. I need the following mailing addresses for secret messages:

    Sam
    Nark y Dusty (together?)

e-mail it to me using the contact link above.

So you don’t feel left out, I already have Cacie, Annie, and my brother’s addresses. I’ll tell you what this is about later. It is mildly cool. At that point I’ll open it to everyone else. Until then, you will have to wait. It isn’t that you aren’t awesome friends, it’s just that I didn’t get enough of what I’m mailing out this time.
